Supportive Group Counseling
If you are just learning that your child has a birth defect or genetic condition and think you would benefit from professional support, and the opportunity to talk with other mothers, then this group counseling experience may be for you.
We will focus on coming to terms with the diagnosis, effective coping mechanisms, identifying useful resources, making the most out of the specialist's appointments, communicating with others, and finding the strength to move forward.
Moving Forward After Pregnancy Loss
Supportive Group Counseling
If you are having a difficult time following pregnancy loss, and think you would benefit from professional support, and the opportunity to share your experience with others in similar situations, then this group counseling experience may be for you.
This group is available to you whether you have experienced a first, second or third trimester loss. We will focus on the stages of grief, coming to terms with the loss, communicating with others, and finally
moving forward.
Living through Cancer
Supportive Group Counseling
If you are living with cancer, in the middle of treatments or recently a survivor and feel the need for professional support as well as connecting with others in a similar situation, then this group couneling experience may be for you.
There will be opportunity to share individual experiences, struggles and successes. The goal of the group is to foster a healthy mind, knowing you can succeed.
For Groups:
When: Morning and evening sessions are available
Where: Needham Center in a private office setting
*Note: At least three registered participants are needed for the groups to take place. There is a maximum of seven participants. Group members should be able to commit to four meetings.
